Seminar on “Prospects of Solar Photovoltaic Energy as the Most Potential Renewable Energy Resource” Organized by EEE & ECE departments of Southern University Bangladesh

On the last 10^th January 2018 at 10.00 am, a seminar on “Prospects of Solar Photovoltaic Energy as the Most Potential Renewable Energy Resource” was organized by the departments of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) and Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) of Southern University Bangladesh. The speaker of the seminar was Prof. Dr. Nowshad Amin. He is professor of department of Electrical, Electronic and Systems Engineering, The National University of Malaysia and head of ‘Solar Energy Research Institute’, The National University of Malaysia.

Vice-Chancellor of Southern University Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Nurul Mostafa, dean of faculty of science & Engineering, Prof. Dr. Md. Shariffuzzaman, registrar Engr. Dr. Md. Muzammel Haque, advisor of CSIT department, Prof. Dr. Abul Monsur Chowdhury and advisor of EEE department, Prof. Ahmad Hossain were present as guests in the seminar. Mr. Hadaate Ullah, head of the EEE department and Dr. Mohammad Arif Sobhan Bhuiyan, head of the ECE department and teachers of the corresponding departments were also present in the program. In the seminar, the speaker’s main focus was to bring out the prospects of solar energy as the most prominent energy resource and their successful commercialization till to date with ups and downs over the past few decades by maximizing the utilization of renewable energy resource especially solar photovoltaic.
